Order traditional blue miners moss / nomad sluice box carpet matting here. Miner's moss is the perfect upgrade and replacement for the original green carpet sold standard in most sluice boxes. Miner's moss really traps the nuggets and fine gold very well - preferred for years by commercial miners and dredgers worldwide.

Miners moss is also known in the mining industry as Nomad sluice carpeting, Noodle Loop Vinyl Mats, and Spaghetti Cushion Matting.

This miner's moss is a fraction of the price and a good substitute for the old 3M 1500 Nomad matting which has been the standard miners moss used for decades. It is a little stiffer and won't allow the sluice riffles to sink in as badly as the original style.

Miners moss is available in 5 pre-cut sizes: sheets can be trimmed to fit most sluice boxes. WE USUALLY HAVE BOTH BACK AND UNBACKED MOSS AVAILABLE. STANDARD UN-BACKED IS ABOUT 3/8 INCH THICK AND BACKED IS ABOUT 1/2" THICK. VARIANCES CAN OCCUR.

PLEASE NOTE: THICKNESS IS APPROXIMATE. ALL MINERS MOSS IS COMPRESSED DURING SHIPPING AND STORAGE AND WILL EXPAND A BIT OVER TIME WHEN LEFT TO AIR AND STRETCH OUT.

(A backed 3/4 inch moss is also available by special order in full roll quantities ONLY).

(smaller sizes are usually in stock - larger sizes may need to be special ordered and may require approx 1-2 weeks to ship).
(Please note: the blue color can vary a bit from light blue to a darker blue hue depending on the batch). We occasionally also have available a thicker cut of moss in gray. Please inquire.

Miners moss sluice carpet is the ultimate matting for fine and coarse gold recovery in any sluicing or dredging application. It traps and holds gold inside loose woven vinyl fibers which are easily cleaned to recover the gold. Preferred by commercial mining companies worldwide, this moss sluice box carpeting is very durable and super efficient at trapping even the finest gold flakes.

Miners moss is un-backed, the open matting is made from continuous coiled vinyl loop filaments. The open un-backed design makes it very easy to wash your gold concentrates out of the carpet. The oil resistant vinyl is also extremely durable and will last several seasons with proper storage.

Shipping: Small sizes usually in stock. Larger sizes are Special order only - please allow a lead time of about 1-2 weeks before shipping on these larger miners moss sizes. Shipping charge is for the two smaller sizes and will be adjusted for larger sizes.
