This fantastic hand powered trommel is made in California and is very light weight at only 12 Lbs. Trommel works both wet and dry. You can feed water into it with a bucket or attach a water spray bar (not included). See video below for examples.

Prices start at just $300 for the base unit (see main picture) and you can add on other features as desired. See below for other options.

The Prospector 6 Trommel packs easily and can be transported to out of the way spots.

How Does a Gold Trommel Work? Material is fed into the barrel drum, and is then lifted up by the barrel's rotation and aerated as it falls back down. This lifting and aeration action is repeated with each revolution along the entire length of the barrel drum. The finer material and gold passes through the punch plate screen openings, while the larger waste material (rocks and gravel) tumbles out and exits at the rear of the drum.

Screens are easy to change with our interchangeable trommel barrels. Using an interchangeable barrel means you can classify your river run material with a larger 1/2" or 1/4" first, and then run the same classified material through a smaller -1/8" after changing out the barrel screen.

MODEL 6.3 Trommel with added #35 pitch roller chain sprocket. Use this to add your own 12 volt motor (motor not included). $350.00

Trommel is super easy to use - just place a bucket or gold pan under the unit to catch the classified material or even better, position your sluice box (as in the picture below) to auto-feed your sluice with properly sized material!

These gold trommels are in high demand so please allow some extra time for production and shipping.

Replacement or extra trommel barrels are available for just $65 each. The punch plate screen sizes are available in 1/2",1/4"

These trommel barrels are easy to swap out. Order and extra trommel in a different screen size to classify your material to more than one size. Extra trommel barrel is just $65.

With an extra barrel you can classify your river run material with a 1/2" or 1/4" first, and then run that classified material to -1/8" after changing the barrel screen.
