How to use: Scratch the magnesium block and make a small pile, then with the striker you strike a spark into the magnesium pile. It'll ignite right away so have dried grass and wood ready for your fire.

Note: "Striking" means to press the back of the scraper firmly against the black rod and slide it quickly. Press firmly and slide quickly. The silver bar is magnesium. Use the scraper to create a little pile of magnesium shavings. When sparks hit the shavings they'll catch fire.
