(SOLD) This extraordinary Gold and Quartz Specimen weighs close to 12 ounces (11.96oz or 10.901 troy oz). It was found in Mariposa, California. There are very nice gold outcroppings visible on the specimen in multiple locations. Specimen is very dense and the gold content is estimated to be very high relative to total weight. Displays nicely as is but can also be treated with acid or etched with a water pick to reveal more of the inner gold. This piece is on consignment and reasonable offers will be considered.
