The expanded diamond cut steel has also been replaced with lighter, rust free, expanded aluminum.

The sluice box body is now designed to lock rigidly in place when the sluice is unfolded. This takes care of the most common complaint about similar cheaper models in that they would often fold up when you tried to pick them up out of the stream.

This neat full size sluice box measures only 9" x 14" x 4" when folded so it is a very compact and portable package.

Unfolded the sluice transforms into a formidable 9 inch x 50 inch stream sluice that weighs only 7.4 pounds.

This is the perfect sluice for the backpacker or the gold prospector that has space issues for traveling or limited storage but still wants the increased material volume of a larger full size stream sluice.

The Backpack folding sluice even fits inside a 5-gallon bucket. It folds out from a 14" compact "box" to a full functioning 50" sluice. Even the flared feeder fits inside when folded. All nuts and bolts used are Stainless Steel so no need to worry about rust. Riffles are made of quality steel and are plated with zinc for extra protection.

The sluice recovery system includes ribbed matting, and zinc coated steel riffles over ribbed carpeting.

Clean-up is very simple just remove a couple of wing nuts and wash into a 5 gallon bucket or your gold pan. You can also add optional miners moss (not included) below.
