CUSTOMER REVIEW: If you are a student of mining history or a collector of western paraphernalia, you should buy this book. The authors have managed to track down most of the tools and other related historical items from the early days of mining. There is an abundance of information on small items such as candle-holders, carbide lamps, and assay tools plus the larger items such as ore carts, Pelton wheels, and stamp mills.
